Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Cheeks Sugaring.

A Cheeks Sugaring appointment typically lasts 15–30 minutes, including consultation and prep. First-time clients may need slightly longer for skin assessment. Timing depends on hair density and whether additional facial services are combined.

Many clients describe mild, brief discomfort similar to tweezing. Our sugar paste and skillful technique reduce tugging, and we apply calming serums afterward. Numbing creams can be used if you have high sensitivity — discuss during booking.

For best results, let hair reach about 1/4 inch so sugar can grip. Avoid retinoids and heavy exfoliation 48 hours prior. Cleanse skin and skip makeup before your appointment. If you're using topical prescriptions, tell your technician.

Most clients see regrowth starting around three to six weeks, depending on individual growth cycles. With regular sugaring, hair becomes finer and sparser over time, often extending smooth periods and reducing overall density.

We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before applying makeup to reduce infection risk and irritation. If necessary, use clean tools and mineral-based products. Keep skin moisturized and avoid heavy creams or bronzers immediately after sugaring.

Sugaring itself is generally safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, though many clients experience heightened skin sensitivity. Avoid strong topical treatments before your appointment and tell us about any pregnancy complications. If you have medical concerns, consult your healthcare provider first.
