Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Half Arms Sugaring.

A typical appointment takes about 20–35 minutes depending on hair density, skin prep, and any consultation. We prioritize precision and comfort, so allow extra time for first-time clients or if combining services in one visit.

Most clients report mild to moderate discomfort that quickly subsides. We use proven techniques, soothing pressure, and aftercare to minimize pain. Numbing products can be discussed for especially sensitive areas or first-time visits.

Arrive with clean, dry skin and hair about 1/4 inch long for best results. Avoid heavy lotions or recent exfoliation on the day of your appointment. Hydrated skin responds better, so drink water beforehand.

Ideally hair should be about 1/4 inch (3–6 mm) long so the sugar paste can grip effectively. Too short or freshly shaved hair won't remove well; if longer, we can trim to the optimal length.

Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles and genetics. With regular sugaring every few months, regrowth becomes finer and sparser, often extending intervals between appointments.

Avoid sun exposure, hot baths, heavy sweating, and exfoliation for the first 24–48 hours. Keep the area clean, moisturized with a gentle lotion, and exfoliate lightly after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
